Warren R. Whitted, Jr. is a noted attorney and shareholder in the firm of Houghton Bradford Whitted. His areas of expertise include real estate, financing, creditor’s rights, estate planning and business organization matters. He represents major lenders in real estate financing, significant foreclosure and real estate workout transactions.

In addition to his real estate practice, Warren has significant expertise in land use & development, lien enforcements, restructures, work outs and representation of lenders, real estate acquisitions, eminent domain, and ethanol projects.

Warren is active within the American Bar Association (ABA) and Nebraska State Bar Association (NSBA). He has served the NSBA in many leadership capacities notably as President, President Elect, Chair of the Budget and Planning Committee, President of the Nebraska Lawyers Foundation, Vice-Chair of the Commission on the Unauthorized Practice of Law and Chair of the NSBA Continuing Education Section.

In addition, he has served as a member of the NSBA House of Delegates and currently serves on the Executive Council. He is also an active member of the Legislative Committee and Real Estate, Probate and Trust Law Sections. He serves the ABA as a member of its House of Delegates and is a member of its Real Estate Probate & Trust Law Section, Business Law Section and Law Practices Management. Warren is also a Fellow of the American College of Real Estate Lawyers.

Warren has added to client, peer and public knowledge of business and real estate law. His legal articles include, “Construction Lien Law” penned for the National Business Institute and “No Justice, No Courts, No Freedom” for the, Omaha Bar Association.

Warren is active in a number of local and national service and sports organizations. As past president and current member of the Rotary Club of West Omaha, he helps encourage high ethical standards in all vocations and helps build goodwill in the world. Warren is also a long time official for the United States Track & Field Association. In addition, he’s a United States and NCAA Golf Rules Official and a member of the U.S. Golf Association Mid-Amateur Championship Committee. He also a Past President and current member of the Board of Directors of the Nebraska Golf Association. He has acted as an on course rules official at many USGA and NCAA Golf Championships

He is also a devoted husband, father and grandfather with two adult children and three active grandchildren.
